The Living Luxe Design Show, Canada's most anticipated annual design event, returns to the Toronto Congress Centre. Organized by Living Luxe Magazine and sponsored by renowned home appliance brand JennAir, this year's show boasts an unprecedented scale, with an exhibition area exceeding 100,000 square feet. It has attracted over 21,000 design professionals, brand representatives, and consumers from across North America to witness the innovative fusion of design and lifestyle.

Immersive experience

As design trends increasingly emphasize immersive and interactive experiences, this year's exhibition features "Edge Walk Experience," curated by JennAir. This immersive kitchen scene combines the latest home appliance technologies, allowing visitors to not only see but also experience firsthand how design enhances the quality of daily life. The OE Design Gallery, designed by renowned designer Omid Taba, uses spatial installation art to allow visitors to wander through and experience the visual impact of design and art.

Canadian and internationally renowned brands were also present. Floorence Tile & Slab collaborated with Italian luxury building materials brand Laminam to present a hexagonal and Y-shaped stone series inspired by Lamborghini sports cars, sparking lively discussions among the designers present. Binns Kitchen & Bath Design partnered with German luxury kitchenware brand SieMatic to showcase the evolution of contemporary spatial aesthetics through a kitchen design that combines minimalism and luxury.

Leader-level speakers share design perspectives

This year's exhibition's main stage invited several heavyweight designers and company representatives to share their insights, including Alessandro Munge, founder of Studio Munge; Lori Morris, founder of Lori Morris Interiors, known for its luxury style; Amanda Aerin, a renowned Canadian designer; and Jane Lockhart, who focuses on residential space design. These design leaders not only provided analysis of international trends but also exchanged ideas through on-site panel discussions on how design can create value between space, brands, and consumers.

Of particular note was the on-site dialogue between real estate expert Barry Cohen and Tridel's Vice President of Sales, Winson Chan, which provided an in-depth analysis of the increasing demand for design in the high-end residential market and the key role that design plays in enhancing property value and living experience, making design not just an aesthetic performance, but also a part of the industry's competitiveness.

Designs walk the runway

One of the most refreshing highlights of this year was undoubtedly the fashion show specially designed for the exhibition. The organizers broke down the traditional boundaries between design and fashion, inviting emerging Canadian designers and international fashion brands to collaborate on a grand fashion show inspired by spatial aesthetics. The entire show's design continued the exhibition's spatial concept, using immersive lighting and sound effects to create dramatic tension, making the audience feel as if they were in a dreamlike realm where design and fashion intertwined. During the exhibition, daily fashion shows hosted by the Toronto Fashion Academy invited several emerging Canadian designers and international fashion brands to participate, showcasing their latest works. This year's Living Luxe Design Show not only showcased design but also demonstrated how design can be close to life and inspire the future. Although the exhibition has ended, the inspiration and imagination of a better life brought by design will continue to extend.
