Entering 2026, the brand officially began its second season of partnership with Formula 1®, and its role became even more distinct. From the official campaign photos taken in Bahrain before the season to the Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk appearing at the podium ceremonies of all 24 Grand Prix races throughout the year, the French brand placed itself in the most iconic moments of the motorsport world.
In terms of design, Louis Vuitton's Monogram canvas remains the main element, with brass clasps, corner protectors, and a hard-sided trunk structure retaining the brand's consistent foundation in travel craftsmanship. However, the black and white checkered flag pattern cut diagonally down the sides of the trunk doors immediately brings in the sense of speed from Formula 1. The interior is deliberately treated entirely in black, making the central position where the trophy is held more focused and maximizing the sense of ceremony when opening the trunk lid.

This collaboration is special because the 2026 season itself is quite a topic of discussion. Formula 1 has ushered in a new generation of technical regulations this year, resulting in smaller, lighter cars. Changes in power systems and sustainable fuels have brought a noticeable fresh look to the entire season. In addition to the technical updates, the team landscape is also more vibrant, with the addition of Cadillac Formula 1 Team and Audi Revolut F1 Team, and new combinations of Honda and Aston Martin, and Ford and Red Bull, further fueling fans' anticipation for the new season.

With Madrid joining the calendar for the first time, 2026 is already a very exciting year for F1. Louis Vuitton's choice to advance the partnership at this time, even becoming the title partner of the Monaco F1 Grand Prix, feels even more fitting. Monaco is one of the most symbolic races in F1, with streets, speed, prestige, and history all condensed into a single weekend. Louis Vuitton's presence in such a setting is a perfect match in terms of style.
Looking back further, the connection between Louis Vuitton and sporting events isn't a recent phenomenon. From the early Copa America to the FIFA World Cup, NBA, and Australian Open, and more recently the Ballon d'Or, the Paris 2024 Olympics, and the Paralympic Games, the brand has partnered with each event's award ceremony to provide the Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk to carry the trophy. The race itself belongs to the teams and drivers, while the brand is responsible for the Trophy Trunk that carries the trophy during the award ceremony. The moment the trophy is raised and all eyes are on it, Louis Vuitton is seen.
