Talking about what’s under the hood, the car comes with an option made of carbon fiber. It's powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter mild-hybrid V-8 with an impressive 626 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque, allowing this heavy-duty utility vehicle to accelerate from a standstill in about 3.7 seconds. to 100 km/h, with a top speed of 290 km/h. It also features a clever air-pressure suspension system that lifts the car over obstacles and lowers it by 15mm in track-focused SV mode. This system helps control the body's roll and pitch when the user brakes hard. In addition, it innovatively offers the option of carbon ceramic brakes, paired with an exclusive eight-piston caliper produced in partnership with Brembo.
The new model features all-wheel steering, a torque vectoring system that relies on large brakes, an active locking rear differential, rear tires that are 20 mm wider than the front tires, and all-wheel drive. These features give it a balance between track and mountain performance. The Edition One attacks the track's final bend like a bulldog playing with its toys. It bites tight up front, maintains a sideways approach angle at the rear, and holds all four tires to the ground before accelerating quickly and disappearing into the rearview mirror.
Earlier in the day, when I was trying to get it to follow my command in the same corner, it seemed like too much of a challenge: the car was too heavy and affected by too many physical factors, plus I lacked enough courage. . There are many features to like about the 2024 Land Rover Sport SV Edition One. This is certainly a bold model for the brand, and its performance is largely impeccable. It is worth noting that only 600 units were produced for the North American market and all have been sold out.
