Since its inception, the Royal Oak Offshore series of Audemars Piguet has been famous for its bold design and excellent craftsmanship. It has established a distinctive image and has become one of the brand's symbols. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Royal Oak Offshore, and Audemars Piguet is proud to launch the new Royal Oak Offshore Automatic Chronograph as a tribute to this landmark watch.
The origin of the Royal Oak Offshore collection dates back to the early 1990s. At that time, facing the changes in the market and the times, Audemars Piguet decided to launch a sports watch specially designed for young men. Based on the Royal Oak, the young designer Emmanuel Gueit designed a large-diameter chronograph watch, making the size unconventional. The case diameter reached 42 mm for the first time and the thickness was 14.04 mm. He added a clearly visible large-size waterproof rubber ring to the design, and wrapped the crown and buttons with colored rubber, showing a bold style that was extremely rare at the time. This groundbreaking timepiece made its debut at the Baselworld in 1993 and was an instant sensation.

The new watch continues the classic design elements of the series, while injecting extraordinary creativity. All four watches are designed in black tones. The tourbillon model is made of black ceramics, with black and green surfaces, black timers, luminescent coated rose gold hands and a green inner bezel. The active and dynamic green details make its micro-mechanical three-dimensional structure particularly eye-catching. It combines sophisticated manual skills and cutting-edge technology, and once again demonstrates the pinnacle of craftsmanship.
For the first time, the monochromatic version features a 42mm black ceramic case, with a strap of the same color and a small black “Petite Tapisserie” surface, which is full of modernity. The yellow detail version reinterprets the "Devil's Doom" commemorative model in black ceramic, with yellow stitching and a titanium pin buckle on the strap. The gold detail model is matched with gold chronograph button bridge, strap interface and bottom cover, presenting a unique black gold color scheme, coupled with high contrast gold hands and scales, creating a vibrant and stylish visual effect. The watch is equipped with Audemars Piguet's latest 4401 movement, which has a column wheel and flyback function, and has a power reserve of up to 70 hours.
Audemars Piguet pays great attention to every detail. All ceramic parts are initially polished and frosted, and all lines, corners and bevels are manually decorated. The octagonal bezel on the case is fixed by eight stainless steel screws, creating a unique outline and rich layering.
This watch is Audemars Piguet's tribute to the glorious history of the past 30 years, and also demonstrates the brand's outstanding strength in watchmaking craftsmanship and innovative design. It is not only an accurate timepiece, but also a work of art that combines ingenuity, taste and style.
