BEAUTY
Where Beauty Begins the Journey From fragrance to lipstick, Louis Vuitton has officially entered the world of makeup. This new beauty line, named "La Beauté Louis Vuitton," is personally designed by Sir Pat McGrath, renowned as a driving force behind contemporary beauty artistry, from packaging design to product color palettes. Since its founding in 1854, Louis Vuitton has embraced "elegance on the move" as its core spirit. Beginning with its first trunks and vanity cases designed for fragrance, the concept of beauty has long been embedded in the brand's luggage philosophy. Now, under McGrath's leadership, this legacy has been transformed into a series of highly collectible cosmetic items, each one a work of art tailor-made for a dressing table. The lipstick and eyeshadow packaging, designed by industrial designer Konstantin Grcic, features a minimalist yet sophisticated design, and a unique locking mechanism for refilling the cartridge, balancing eco-friendliness with exquisite refinement. The flagship lipstick, "LV Rouge," is available in 55 shades, a nod to the Roman numeral "55" in the brand's acronym. Colors range from soft nude pink to intense crimson, with shades like "Monogram Rouge" and "Rouge Louis" cleverly blending the brand's heritage with the self-expression of modern women. Each lipstick is infused with natural waxes extracted from rose, jasmine, and mimosa, combined with shea butter and hyaluronic acid to achieve the ideal balance of color retention and moisturizing, delivering both lip care and makeup-enhancing results. In addition to the lipsticks, the collection also features 10 "LV Baume" tinted lip balms and eight four-color "LV Ombres" eye palettes, fully embodying the Louis Vuitton aesthetic. A particularly noteworthy development is the first time that makeup has been integrated with the art of fragrance. McGrath collaborated with the brand's chief perfumer, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, to infuse the lip glosses with custom scents. The lipsticks feature floral notes, while the lip balms are blended with mint and berry, making every application a ritual and a sensory memory. In line with the brand's commitment to "beauty on the go," the collection also features a new vanity case. Inspired by the "Le Milano" vanity case commissioned for soprano Marthe Chenal in 1925, it incorporates modern backstage makeup needs, transforming it into a portable beauty station. Small leather accessories, such as a lipstick storage case and oil-blotting tissue holder, are also crafted from Monogram canvas, making daily touch-ups a stylish experience. Chinese Source Link

A Seaside Japanese Feast of East Meets West Miku's exquisite blend of East and West, Japanese cuisine, has become a must-try culinary destination in the South Financial District. Since its opening in 2015, the restaurant, spanning over 7,000 square feet, blends modern elegance with the refined spirit of Japanese cuisine, offering a comprehensive sensory experience with a raw food bar, sushi bar, and expansive terrace. Miku, part of ABURI Restaurants, began its story in Japan, moving west to Vancouver and east to Toronto, revolutionizing aburi sushi and innovative Japanese cuisine in North America. While boasting stunning views of Vancouver Harbor, Miku's appeal goes beyond this. It wins diners over with its consistently high-quality cuisine and commitment to sustainability. With Ocean Wise certification proudly displayed on its menu, every meal is a celebration of both deliciousness and environmental awareness. A cross-border interpretation of Japanese classics The essence of Miku's kitchen lies in infusing French and Italian refinements into Japanese classics, elevating familiar flavors to a whole new level. The signature Aburi Salmon Oshi Sushi features wild sockeye salmon, infused with jalapenos and a special sauce. The moment you take a bite, a smoky, spicy aroma mingles. It's no wonder this signature dish has inspired artists. The Seared Sweet Shrimp Sushi, with its savory flavor enhanced by the fragrance of lime zest and the sweet and sour aroma of plum sauce, is refreshing yet complex. The miso-marinated mackerel offers another adventure, its rich, umami flavor spreading across your tongue like the rhythm of the ocean tide. Enjoy the wine list and the view Here, pairing wine and food is a delicate art. Sparkling sake from Yamanashi paired with caviar, its delicate bubbles and savory flavors creating a luxurious yet refreshing surprise. Niigata's Buri Ginjo pure rice sake, with its pure, lingering flavor, complements the tranquil lake view outside. As the water shimmers and light and shadows sway, each sip feels like a poetic backdrop, enveloping the senses in a symphony of taste and sensuality. Miku is more than just a Japanese restaurant; it's a stage for cultural exchange, a poem gently played by the harbor. Here, every dish, every glass of wine, every glimpse of the lake is a complete and unforgettable luxurious experience. Chinese Source Link
